At Astley Hire we aim to provide a high quality and enjoyable learning experience. You will receive a strong commitment from our friendly and professional staff to enable all trainees to achieve the qualifications they need, regardless of previous experience or qualifications.

IPAF and PASMA Training Facilities

All standard courses take place at the Astley Hire depot. We have a large stock of equipment available for operators to gain experience with a wide variety of machinery and equipment. The secure training area gives plenty of space for hands-on, practical demonstrations and the opportunity to practise safe operation whilst under supervision. The dedicated training room gives a comfortable and relaxed environment to learn the theory elements of courses.

Instructors

Our Instructors, Dave Hughes and Michael Dorricott, have 40 years of experience between them, they are both fully qualified IPAF instructors. Their assistant, CAP qualified, David Mackenzie, inspects and prepares the equipment to comply with both LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998) and PUWER (Provision of Use and Work Equipment Regulations 1998). Our Training Coordinator, Tracey Byron, is on hand to assist and advise on your training needs.
