What is PASMA? Training for Scaffold Towers and Low Level Access and More

PASMA

PASMA is an acronym that stands for Prefabricated Access Suppliers and Manufactures Association. PASMA was started in 1974 to further the professionalism and standards for the growing mobile access towers (scaffold tower) industry. It now advances safety standards and best practice of manufactures and users of wide range of manual access equipment. By representing the interests of manufacturers, suppliers, specifiers and users the Association is best placed to specify how to use equipment safely. Astley Hire is an active member of the the Association as a hire supplier and training provider.

The Association devised the PASMA Training Course for users of Scaffold Towers, the course is now universally acknowledged as the industry standard. PASMA is well known for its training programme which has helps thousands every year to improve their safety and operational performance. Only available from PASMA Registered Training Centres, the authorised programme is not available from any other source.

IPAF PAL CardThe training courses are based on a format and content agreed by all PASMA members and draws upon their collective, first-hand experience. The courses are widely recognised and recommended by safety professionals.

Successful delegates who pass a written and practical test are presented with a competency certificate and an encapsulated, credit card sized photocard.

The card gives proof of competency to inspect, maintain, assemble, move and dismantle mobile access towers.

What is a PASMA Ticket or Licence?

PASMA Ticket is an often used term that refers to qualification issued by PASMA. If you get asked "have you got a ticket for using that" you can prove you have passed the course by showing your photocard.
