Working at Height Training
A IPAF training course or PASMA training course enables employers who use mobile work platforms (Cherry Pickers / Scissor Lifts) or Scaffold towers to comply with the "Working at Height Regulations 2005" (WAHR 05), ensuring that operators who work at height are trained and competent. The IPAF PAL card (ticket) or PASMA Photo / ID card gives the proof of qualifications that safety managers need. Powered access and Tower training from Astley Hire also helps operators to work more efficiently and productively.
IPAF Powered Access (Cherry Picker & Scissor Lift Training
Astley Hire is an IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) accredited training centre and is authorised to issue PAL cards (Powered Access Licence). PAL are recognised by the HSE (Health and Safety Executive), and the MCG (Major Contractors Group). PAL can cover all: MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms), Scissor lifts, Cherry pickers, Boom lifts, Static booms, Mobile Booms, Static vertical, Mobile vertical, Access platform, Man lift, Height rider, Genie lift, JLG, Sky jack, Flying carpet. Whatever you call them we can sort out your "ticket".

PASMA Access / Scaffold Tower and Platform Training
Astley Hire is a PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers' and Manufacturers' Association) accredited training centre and provides PASMA approved training for scaffold towers. On completing the course, trainees receive certificates "ticket" of competency and an ID card. PASMA certificates / ID cards are the most widely recognised proof of competency for inspection, assembly, use, moving and dismantling Access towers. Training courses for Mobile towers, Alloy towers, Decks, Platform towers, Scaffold towers, Zip up, Pop up, Razor deck can be completed at our PASMA Training Centre near Manchester or on site at your workplace.
PASMA Training Courses are completed in one day. The PASMA Scaffold Tower training course cost is dependent on the number of trainees and any particular requirements. Harness Training
Operators working at height can be required to use a safety harness and lanyard as part of the risk assessment. The Harness Training Course for powered access, cherry pickers and scissor lifts operators can be for IPAF qualification or for basic harness safety training.
The IPAF Harness Courses is completed in half a day. The Harness training course cost is dependent on the number of trainees and any particular requirements.
